About the Role & Program:<br><br>The ABC News Digital Media Business Operations group collaborates across segment integrated teams to develop, implement and refine business processes and plans to maximize growth, monetization, and operating income. We foster and facilitate cross-functional conversations to align overall thinking, provide transparency and drive forward execution of key business priorities. We build strong partnerships with the portfolio of businesses & brands that we help grow. The Digital Media Business Operations group includes Digital News and eCommerce strategy & business operations, Operational Analytics, and Monetization / Revenue Optimization functions, as well as New Business identification and evaluation.<br><br>This team partners closely with the following stakeholders: Finance; Research, Insights & Analytics; Entertainment Product & Technology teams as they develop long-range planning and annual operating targets, and focus on the daily, weekly, monthly and year over year rhythms of the business. The team is embedded for high-touch collaboration with editorial, content, broadcast partners and other stakeholders. Once segment targets are set by News & Networks Leadership, we identify the ‘how” to execute and deliver against business strategies, goals and financial objectives. This team provides ongoing support through strategic initiative ‘launch’ and operations.<br><br><strong>This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Burbank, CA from January 2026-June 2026.<br><br></strong>What You Will Do:<br><br>The ABC News Digital Media Business Operations Intern will lead at least one cross-functional project to catalyze action against one of the strategic growth initiatives, while also acting as a critical thought partner in day-to-day operations.<br><br><br><ul><li>Contribute to strategic analysis of new business opportunities with market analysis and financial modeling</li><li>Perform competitive analysis and market analyses to help evaluate the performance of our products and services and to provide benchmarks</li><li>Aid in the formation and streamlining of operational processes through development of slides and rules of the road documents, and then participate in meetings to help onboard and educate key stakeholders (e.g. launching a new eCommerce partner)</li><li>Actively participate in brainstorms and work cross functionally with other stakeholders on the Digital News teams to develop bold and innovative ideas that drive audience growth and / or monetization</li><li>Create first pass at agenda topics, meeting objectives and slides / materials for multiple weekly executive meetings and readouts<br><br><br></li></ul>Required Qualifications & Skills:<br><br><br><ul><li>Strategic thinker & problem solver, naturally able to connect customer, business and product needs</li><li>Professional agility – Proven ability to take initiative on new projects and drive complex, ambiguous issues to resolution</li><li>Experience with preparation & delivery of executive-level presentations, as well as influencing senior leadership</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build compelling/congruent PowerPoint presentations, which simplify complex analytics for executive audiences</li><li>Strong analytical skills, including ability to process complex data sets and build financial and strategic models from scratch in Excel</li><li>Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to manage detail, work efficiently and communicate effectively to all levels and functions<br><br><br></li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<br><br><br><ul><li>Experience using visualization tools such as Tableau or Power Bi</li><li>Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL</li><li>Exposure to machine learning concepts and AI model workflows a plus (e.g., training, evaluation, deployment)</li><li>Ability to collaborate with technical teams to support updates to AI models or data-driven systems<br><br><br></li></ul>Education:<br><br><br><ul><li>Senior year preferred</li><li>Major or previous coursework in Marketing, Product Management, Data Analysis, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Data Engineering or related fields preferred<br><br><br></li></ul>Required Materials:<br><br><br><ul><li>Candidates must submit a cover letter as part of their application.<br><br><br></li></ul>Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:<br><br><strong>Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.</li><li>Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.</li><li>Be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>Possess unrestricted work authorization.<br><br><br></li></ul>Additional Information:<br><br><br><ul><li>This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Burbank, CA from January 2026-June 2026.</li><li>Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.</li><li>Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.</li><li>Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, CA area.</li><li>Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work in the Burbank, CA area.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Recommendation – Print This Role Description: </strong>We encourage applicants to print a copy of this role description so they can refer to it in the event they are selected for an interview.
