Wireless Systems Engineer (Apple Wireless Hardware Group)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and verify Wireless/PHY system performance, ensuring compliance with design specifications across metrics like EVM, sensitivity, desense, RF/Baseband performance, MIMO, beamforming, and coexistence.

  • Automate the development and validation of Wireless/PHY systems, including test automation, infrastructure, and regression testing at the silicon level.

  • Collaborate with PHY, MAC, RF design engineers, and system integration/test teams to optimize system performance.

  • Work hands-on in the lab with signal analyzers, generators, and spectrum analyzers for silicon testing and verification.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in wireless systems design and validation.

  • Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, C/C++/C#, and test automation frameworks.

  • Familiarity with wireless communication standards such as WiFi and Cellular technologies.

  • Strong understanding of RF/Baseband signal impairments and key wireless performance indicators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools, version control systems like GIT, and database/reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated success in developing automation infrastructure ensuring test traceability and repeatability.

  • Base Pay: $171,600 – $302,200 (based on experience, location, and skills).
