About the Role

This is a hybrid leadership role that spans Technology Infrastructure Support and AML Operations Readiness & Control Management. You will oversee end-user IT services delivery, manage support teams, and play a strategic role in driving compliance and readiness for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) initiatives across Global Banking and Markets (GBGM).

The position requires strong technical acumen, operational leadership, and the ability to manage change in a regulatory-heavy environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Support Management (Mumbai-Based)

  • Lead and manage on-site desktop support, ensuring optimal IT infrastructure performance (PCs, laptops, printers, VDI, etc.).

  • Own service delivery and incident management, including VIP support and executive-level escalations.

  • Collaborate with global tech teams to ensure compliance with enterprise IT standards and SLAs.

  • Oversee VDI systems, patch management, and system availability.

  • Drive local execution of enterprise-wide technology initiatives and upgrades.

  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports and executive-level presentations.

  • Manage relationships with vendors, internal tech teams, and business stakeholders.

AML Readiness & Business Control (Bromley-Based)

  • Act as liaison between AML, business lines, and key partners to ensure change readiness.

  • Drive execution of AML-related initiatives, ensuring compliance with CIP and CDD requirements.

  • Respond to KYC queries and support business units in achieving timely refresh completions.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance AML program effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Engage with senior stakeholders, Audit, and Compliance to manage risk and resolve complex operational issues.

  • Contribute to risk identification and escalation processes, aligning operational execution with regulatory expectations.

Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Develop and mentor high-performing teams with a focus on collaboration, performance, and innovation.

  • Champion diversity and inclusion, promoting an environment where all employees can thrive.

  • Ensure operational discipline, risk mitigation, and financial accountability within areas of responsibility.

  • Align team goals with broader enterprise strategies and drive measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • BE / B.Tech preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field accepted.

  • Certifications: ITIL, PMP/Prince2 preferred. MCP/MCSE and AML certifications are a plus.

Experience:

  • 8–10 years of experience in IT service management and/or financial operations (AML/KYC).

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver in a regulated, high-paced environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of end-user computing (Windows OS, VDI, mobility, printing, networking, AV tech).

  • Experience in vulnerability management, endpoint compliance, and infrastructure monitoring.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with SharePoint, Confluence is beneficial.

AML/Compliance Skills:

  • Knowledge of AML policies, regulatory frameworks, and audit processes (preferred).

  • Strong risk awareness with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive process improvements.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive strategic outcomes.
