Role Summary

You will play a dual-role within the Compliance function, supporting both KYC/AML operations and Insurance Compliance. This hybrid role is critical for ensuring that the bank maintains regulatory compliance, data accuracy, and risk mitigation in alignment with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and insurance-related policies.

Key Responsibilities

KYC/AML/CDD Compliance

  • Analyze and report on Know Your Customer (KYC) data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with AML policies.

  • Review complex client structures (e.g., Funds, Trusts, SPVs) and guide the operations team to meet Customer Due Diligence (CDD) standards.

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Financial Crime, MLRO, Risk teams) and external contacts (sales, front-line units) to resolve onboarding and compliance issues.

  • Provide on-the-ground expertise on global regulatory requirements, ensure quality assurance, and deliver ongoing coaching to team members.

  • Act as a first point of contact during audits or regulatory inquiries; escalate and report issues as required.

  • Review quality control (QA/QC) outcomes, raise rebuttal requests, and ensure policy adherence across the team.

  • Lead operational calls, share insights, and manage cross-site team coordination.

Insurance Compliance Operations

  • Review, process, and maintain insurance documentation per Bank of America’s guidelines to ensure lien perfection and risk mitigation.

  • Generate insurance requirement letters, track policy expirations, and proactively obtain renewals.

  • Interface with clients, brokers, and agents to resolve compliance issues and discrepancies in commercial property and casualty insurance.

  • Update and monitor systems of record (LoanIQ, CTS, EDR, Genesis) and ensure data accuracy in a paperless, compliance-driven environment.

  • Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Any Graduate (High School Diploma / GED accepted for Insurance Operations role)

  • Certifications: ACAMS preferred (for AML/KYC function)

  • Experience: 4–6 years of relevant experience in AML/KYC/CDD and/or insurance compliance in the banking or financial services industry

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Deep understanding of AML/CTF regulations, KYC standards, and corporate structures (e.g., PEP, SPF, negative news screening)

  • Familiarity with global banking products and trade life cycle processes

  • Strong knowledge of insurance requirements and systems like LoanIQ, CTS, EDR, Genesis

  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Proficient in verbal and written communication, with an ability to collaborate across departments
