Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Corporate Banking team or our Global Markets Regulatory Reporting team. Depending on your placement, your responsibilities may include client analysis and transaction support in FIG or regulatory reporting and client onboarding within Global Markets.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Institutions Group (Frankfurt)

  • Conduct financial analysis of current and prospective clients, including sector comparisons and transaction evaluations.

  • Monitor client news, announcements, and market trends.

  • Support deal execution across financing, capital markets, and transaction banking products.

  • Assist in client due diligence, manage working group lists, timetables, and maintain client data.

  • Conduct research on the financial institutions (FI) sector and contribute to business development initiatives.

  • Develop client pitch books in collaboration with product and regional teams.

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships within the bank.

Global Markets Regulatory Reporting (Kuala Lumpur)

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports (Cash BOPs, CCRIS, AOO, OTC) accurately and on time.

  • Facilitate client onboarding processes for Global Markets counterparties, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Liaise with traders, onboarding teams, internal stakeholders, and regulators.

  • Manage settlement instruction setup and static data for counterparties.

  • Escalate non-compliance and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure timely resolution of stakeholder queries.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills; proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of diligence and conscientiousness.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of engaging confidently with clients and stakeholders.

  • Fluent in English; German language skills essential for Frankfurt roles.

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in finance, economics, or a numerical discipline).

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in regulatory reporting, client onboarding, or corporate banking.

  • Familiarity with Global Markets products and regulatory frameworks (especially in Malaysia for relevant roles).

  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure both independently and in teams.
