Job Title: Disney Show Control & Content Specialist

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a highly skilled and passionate Disney Show Control & Content Specialist to join our creative team. This unique hybrid role combines technical expertise in show control systems with strong content creation abilities, ideally suited for someone with a deep knowledge of the Walt Disney Company and a flair for engaging storytelling. You’ll play a crucial part in both executing flawless show performances and producing high-quality Disney-themed content for a broad online audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical & Show Control (Live/On-Site Elements)

  • Operate and maintain show control systems and equipment for Disney-related shows and attractions.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to ensure seamless, safe performances.

  • Collaborate with directors, technicians, and creative teams to execute precise show cues.

  • Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.

  • Keep detailed records of repairs, updates, and equipment logs.

  • Stay current with advancements in show technology and recommend improvements.

  • Train and supervise other technicians in show control operations.

  • Support the development and technical setup for new shows and immersive experiences.

Creative Content Production (Remote/Digital)

  • Write, edit, and produce compelling Disney-related content including:

    • Breaking news, editorial pieces, guidebooks, and viral social media content.

    • Video scripts, promotional material, and high-level thought leadership articles.

  • Maintain Cambrick Yard’s standard for professional, consistent, and engaging content.

  • Adapt quickly to news developments and content trends, including after-hours assignments.

  • Utilize platforms like WordPress, Canva, and photo editing tools to produce polished digital content.

  • Collaborate with team members on brainstorming, project planning, and multimedia storytelling.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven technical expertise in show control systems (e.g., lighting, audio, automation).

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills for balancing live event duties and digital projects.

  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities; humor and creativity a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of Disney parks, history, and franchises (Walt Disney World, Disneyland, etc.).

  • Proficiency with digital platforms like WordPress; Canva and photo editing experience preferred.

  • Comfortable working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment.
