Position Summary

FedEx is seeking a skilled and solution-oriented Senior Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions across multiple clouds. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce development and system integration and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and globally distributed environment.

You will be responsible for delivering robust Salesforce applications aligned with business needs, ensuring seamless integration with external systems, and mentoring junior developers. This is a highly visible role that contributes directly to enterprise-level initiatives and customer experience enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Salesforce Solution Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and declarative tools.

  • Implement complex workflows, process builders, approval processes, and validation rules.

  • Build and maintain custom applications and reusable components across Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud.

2. System Integration

  • Integrate Salesforce with external platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools like Informatica Cloud.

  • Manage data migrations and ensure data integrity across integrated systems (e.g., ERP, marketing automation).

  • Maintain and support existing integrations to ensure platform resilience.

3. Platform Configuration & Optimization

  • Configure security models including profiles, roles, permission sets, and sharing rules.

  • Monitor and optimize platform performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.

  • Maintain platform health by proactively resolving issues and improving system efficiency.

4. Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work with business analysts, architects, and product owners to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Lead technical design sessions, participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies, and contribute to sprint planning.

  • Mentor junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.

5. DevOps & Continuous Improvement

  • Support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Copado, Jenkins, and contribute to automated deployment processes.

  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and suggest innovative features and enhancements.

  • Drive automation and recommend platform improvements to enhance usability and performance.

Required Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL.

  • Strong experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data architecture and security models.

  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and ETL tools.

  • Working knowledge of DevOps tools: Git, Copado, Jenkins.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II, App Builder.

  • Integration Architecture Designer (advantageous).

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Team player with ability to work independently and across global teams.

  • Adaptability to Agile (Scrum or SAFe) environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with enterprise-level Salesforce implementations and customer experience initiatives.
