Job Description: Senior Business Analyst & Data Architect

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst & Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of innovative IT and data solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency. This role combines strategic business analysis with expert-level data architecture capabilities to enable data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology, ensuring high-quality data access, management, and analysis aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement:

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to gather, document, and analyze detailed business and data requirements.

  2. Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications, including user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

  3. Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals, scope, and deliverables.

  4. Lead the prioritization of product and project backlogs in collaboration with product managers, owners, and technical teams.

  5. Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet functional requirements and address business needs.

  6. Drive change management by assessing process impacts, facilitating communication, and supporting training initiatives.

  7. Identify and recommend IT-enabled process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency and deliver measurable business value.

Data Architecture & Management:

  1. Establish and enforce enterprise data management policies, standards, and best practices ensuring data integrity, consistency, and security.

  2. Design and implement scalable data architectures, data models, and integration solutions to support efficient data access and analysis.

  3. Optimize data collection, processing, and storage systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

  4. Implement and maintain robust master data and metadata management processes.

  5. Develop data quality standards, controls, and monitoring tools to improve data accuracy and completeness.

  6. Assign and oversee data stewardship responsibilities, promoting accountability and proper data governance.

  7. Provide training and support on data tools, processes, and governance to drive effective data usage across the organization.

  8. Lead and deliver regional and global data projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful execution.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, MIS, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Business Analytics, Actuarial Studies, or related discipline preferred. PhD is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT, with 5+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, data architecture, and data management.

  • Strong experience with Oracle and Cassandra technologies.

Certifications:

  • Relevant business and technical certifications in Data Management or Business Analysis preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent planning, organization, and project management capabilities

  • Effective influencing, persuasion, and leadership skills
