Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst - Accounts Payable to join our Chennai location. This role supports our finance teams by processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth accounts payable operations to help drive the company’s growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and validate invoices according to standard operating procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.

  • Maintain daily productivity logs for the team to track work progress and efficiency.

  • Generate, analyze, and update reports related to AP (Accounts Payable), AR (Accounts Receivable), VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), IC (Intercompany), and FA (Fixed Assets).

  • Pass rectification entries for errors identified by the internal quality control team, ensuring data integrity.

  • Reconcile sub-modules against trial balances to ensure accuracy in financial records.

  • Assist finance functional teams by developing and utilizing basic macros to improve process efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in BCom, BBA (Finance), MCom, MBA (Finance) or related fields.

  • Strong foundation in accounting principles and finance concepts.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel (including basic formulas and pivot tables).

  • Familiarity with ERP systems for financial transactions and reporting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Optional Skills (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

  • Experience or interest in automation tools or advanced Excel functions (macros, VBA).

  • Basic understanding of SAP or other ERP software modules.

  • Exposure to data visualization or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
