Job Title: Senior Project & Product Manager

Location: 100% Remote
Duration: Long-term

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Project & Product Manager to lead the delivery and evolution of complex IT solutions in a fully remote environment. This role will combine traditional project management responsibilities within a government context (Medicaid/Medical claims systems), alongside product leadership driving technical strategy, innovation, and stakeholder engagement—ideally with exposure to AI/Cloud technologies.

You will work cross-functionally to ensure high-quality execution of projects from planning to delivery, and oversee product development initiatives aligned with user needs, service-level agreements (SLAs), and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management (Government/Enterprise Focus)

  • Ensure all work is documented in Azure DevOps and that time entries match documented work items.

  • Triage incoming requests and collaborate with Product Backlog Owners, DSS staff, and technical leads to prioritize tasks, determine severity levels, and classify work items.

  • Oversee adherence to Agile Scrum methodologies, including the facilitation of Scrum ceremonies and coordination with cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborate with DSS and BIT to define SLAs, KPIs, and reporting metrics for maintenance, enhancements, and new development projects.

  • Manage creation, review, and updates to technical documentation and ensure compliance with SDLC, Change Management, and support protocols.

  • Independently resolve support issues and drive team performance for timely issue resolution and project delivery.

  • Deliver project plans for large-scale initiatives (1000+ hours) including detailed estimates, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.

Product Management & Innovation (Tech/AI Focus)

  • Lead product strategy and roadmap definition, especially for innovative solutions involving Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Cloud technologies.

  • Translate complex technical and business problems into structured product initiatives.

  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, sales, and senior leadership to bring technical products from conception to launch.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to the evolution of services and tools aligned with digital transformation goals.

  • Define and track business and product performance metrics (quantitative and qualitative).

  • Drive alignment across stakeholders through compelling product vision, user narratives, and strategic communication.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, IT, Communications, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in IT project management, product leadership, or technical program delivery.

  • 5+ years of team leadership experience, managing technical staff in Agile environments.

  • Proven experience in Medicaid/Medical claims systems or complex government IT systems (minimum 3 years).

  • Strong familiarity with SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and modern DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels, including technical staff, vendors, and business executives.

  • Results-oriented, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Technology, Business, or related field.

  • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products.

  • Experience delivering presentations to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and interest in inclusive product design.

  • Familiarity with public sector contracting, service delivery, and performance management frameworks.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and skills.

  • Opportunities for professional growth, innovation, and leadership in a high-impact environment.

  • Fully remote work with flexible hours and a supportive team culture.
