Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Warehouse/BI Developer with strong leadership capabilities to join our data and analytics team. This dual-role position requires 3–5 years of technical experience with cloud-based BI platforms (Azure) and team coordination skills to manage project timelines, stakeholder communication, and solution delivery. You will be instrumental in designing and supporting enterprise-scale BI solutions, guiding a team, and ensuring high performance and adherence to SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Development Duties

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse and BI solutions in Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric.

  • Develop robust ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory and SSIS to process structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.

  • Create optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and support large dataset performance.

  • Build and maintain star schema models, including fact/dimension tables and metadata documentation.

  • Develop and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Service.

  • Implement data governance, lineage tracking, and data quality frameworks.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and pipelines.

  • Troubleshoot ETL failures, data anomalies, and performance bottlenecks efficiently.

Team Leadership & Project Management

  • Lead and mentor a regional team of data professionals and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

  • Act as an escalation point for technical challenges and ensure efficient resolution.

  • Conduct regular 1:1s with team members, offering coaching, feedback, and growth support.

  • Monitor task progress, ensuring SLAs and project timelines are consistently met.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including product owners, QA, and DevOps teams for seamless delivery.

  • Ensure that all technical documentation, including knowledge base and workflows, is maintained and up to date.

  • Manage team priorities and ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.
