Job Description
Marriott International is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Executive to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will provide essential support to the management and leadership teams by addressing and resolving various Human Resources matters that contribute to fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws, maintaining meticulous employee records, and driving operational excellence within the HR function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with management and leadership teams to effectively handle and resolve a broad range of Human Resources issues, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Facilitate employee internal and external transfer requests, ensuring smooth and compliant transitions.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and supervisors to oversee recruitment processes, monitor hiring compliance, and address any hiring-related concerns.

  • Coordinate and administer pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, reference checks, motor vehicle records, and social security verifications.

  • Maintain comprehensive logs and records for applicant flow, drug screening, orientation, and transfer requests, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

  • Create, update, and securely maintain new hire and personnel files within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

  • Assist in organizing and conducting orientation programs to onboard new employees efficiently and effectively.

  • Monitor recruitment and hiring procedures for compliance with all relevant employment laws, company policies, and best practices.

  • Accurately maintain employee documentation such as interview notes, I-9 forms, and other critical personnel records.

  • Support payroll processing by maintaining accurate records and collaborating with payroll teams to resolve discrepancies.

  • Serve as a liaison to Human Resources management regarding employee relations issues, escalating concerns when necessary.

  • Develop and manage organized filing systems for HR documents and correspondence.

  • Generate detailed and ad-hoc HR reports to assist leadership in strategic decision-making.

  • Professionally manage incoming communications, including phone calls and written correspondence.

  • Act as a Human Resources subject matter expert on various projects, contributing insights and knowledge to drive HR initiatives.

  • Provide training and mentorship to new hires regarding HR policies, systems, and procedures to foster smooth onboarding and continuous learning.

  • Uphold all company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional appearance and protecting the confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally in all interactions, preparing accurate documentation and utilizing proper telephone etiquette.

  • Foster positive working relationships and a collaborative team environment by actively listening and responding thoughtfully to colleagues' concerns.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a similar HR role, preferably within a fast-paced corporate environment.

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, best practices, and compliance with employment laws at local, state, and federal levels.

  • Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to ethical standards.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing business needs.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
