GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of IT, the IT Technician will be responsible for necessary technical support for aspects of all information systems to include national support of YMCA360 products.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum age of 19
  • Minimum one year advanced education in computer science and/or IT experience to include Windows operating systems

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to frequently perform the following physical activities; climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, stand and lay on ground for extended periods of time, walk, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, have finger dexterity, grasp, perform repetitive motions, talk, hear and have visual acuity to perform detailed tasks
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively; both orally and in writing
  • Must possess problem solving, organizational and task management skills; ability to make independent and sound decisions in a rapidly changing environment
  • Must be detail oriented and exhibit a high degree of accuracy
  • Must demonstrate initiative and sound judgment
  • Must be able to relate to and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner
  • Must be able to work collaboratively as a team member as well as independently and lead by assigned goals, duties and deadlines
  • Must possess ability to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
  • Must always present a neat and professional appearance

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assisting in the management of the association’s information systems network and workstations.
  • Must know and follow the established business procedures of the Association.
  • Responsible for installing, supporting, updating and testing hardware and software meeting association standards.
  • Provides telephone support for Greater Wichita YMCA staff and members as well as national support of systems supporting YMCA360.
  • Install and configure various components supporting building security, such as surveillance cameras. This may require the ability to work safely from a ladder or lift.
  • Responsible for servicing computers including replacing failed components, including power supplies and hard drives.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with all software licenses.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining an organized file system of IT inventory and manuals.
  • Responsible for cleaning/vacuuming dust from hardware at least semi-annually.
  • Responsible for providing accurate and timely data and reports to management as requested.
  • Child Abuse Prevention - Responsible for adhering to boundary policies, attending required training, reporting concerns, following mandated reporting policy, fulfilling job-specific responsibilities such as maintaining and securing unused areas, and ensuring proper sign-in/out procedures.
  • Supporting Strong Community Campaign fundraising efforts.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
