Senior Digital Business Partner / Customer Business Lead – Grocery (Kroger Focus)

Location: Remote (Cincinnati or Chicago Metro Preferred)
Reports To: Head of Sales, National Accounts / Director, Omnichannel Marketing

We are seeking a high-performing, entrepreneurial-minded leader to join our team as a Senior Digital Business Partner / Customer Business Lead, focused on growing our Kroger/Albertsons/Safeway digital and in-store business. You will work at the intersection of digital marketing, omnichannel commerce, and customer strategy, taking full ownership of category growth, shopper engagement, and business development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead omnichannel marketing strategy and execution across digital and physical platforms to drive sales growth, share, and customer loyalty.

  • Act as the digital subject matter expert (SME) for key strategic grocers, analyzing the digital shelf, search optimization, site taxonomy, and shopper behavior to drive actionable insights.

  • Own customer P&L, develop pricing, shelving, merchandising, and distribution strategies in line with category and company goals.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at Kroger, including cross-functional partners such as shopper marketing, category management, and sales analytics.

  • Leverage internal resources (e.g., Advanced Marketing Capabilities CoE, Digital Commerce Ops, Sales Finance) to design, test, and implement data-driven marketing campaigns.

  • Oversee the development and execution of trade spend and promotional programs, ensuring financial targets (revenue, margin, trade rate) are met.

  • Provide strategic input for demand planning and S&OP, including forecasting and supply chain coordination.

  • Lead a high-performing team including Customer Category Managers and Sales Analysts, fostering growth through coaching, talent development, and clear performance management.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree a plus.

  • 3+ years of experience in Digital Commerce, Digital Marketing, or Omnichannel Strategy (CPG or Retail preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in sales/account management, preferably with recent direct Kroger/84.51° experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, generate insights, and develop strategic action plans.

  • Proven success leading and developing cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Strong personal selling, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analytics platforms a plus.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

  • Experience managing digital marketing and omnichannel campaigns within major grocery retailers.

  • Track record of delivering measurable business results through digital transformation.

  • Strong ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.
