Required Shifts:

12 Hour Shifts- Day Shift; 6am – 6:30pm. Night Shift; 6pm – 6:30am. No rotating shifts!

Shift Schedules:

4 on, 4 off

Mars Petcare (Greenies) is looking to hire an Operator 2 at our climate-controlled Kansas City, MO location!

An Operator 2 is a system expert in their assigned area and is highly functional in multiple areas. Operator 2’s must work safely at all times. They will ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and drive continuous improvement. Operator 2’s are responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. They need to be familiar with the manufacturing change-over process. Operator 2’s must be flexible and have the ability to operate other equipment in the facility as needed. This job requires strong communication, Interpersonal, and team-building skills to support site objectives. Punctuality is a must.

What are we looking for?Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills – Preferably iPad
  • Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment – Resiliency
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Standing for extended time periods & mobility to climb stairs and ladders.
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Operating equipment to complete the conversion process and package the finished product prior to shipping to our customers.
  • Conducting problem-solving and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Loading packaged material, clearing jams, resetting faults, conducting change-overs, quality checks, reporting issues, and maintaining area GMP’s.
  • Completing basic preventative maintenance work as assigned (CIL’s)
  • Ensuring quality & food safety procedural conformance
  • Wearing required PPE and reporting any safety hazards immediately
  • The ability to communicate accurate and timely information using computer technology.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a positive attitude. Must be reliable, conscientious, punctual, and have a good work ethic.
  • Conduct sanitation activities as required
  • Conduct and manage inventory throughout the production process
  • Provide informal leadership to temporary associates throughout the production process
Compensation:
  • Pay based on experience.
  • Shift differential of $1.50
  • OT potential
