Job Title: Senior Manager, People Strategy & GenAI Enablement

Location: Remote – Based in NJ, MA, CT, or RI (Travel: 35-40%)
Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel to field offices and surrounding regions.

About the Role

As the Senior Manager, People Strategy & GenAI Enablement, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic people initiatives and AI adoption within McDonald’s Field and Corporate environments. This hybrid role blends human capital leadership with innovation enablement, ensuring seamless integration of people priorities with emerging AI technologies. You will support business units through coaching, strategy execution, change management, and fostering a culture of talent, inclusion, and engagement—all while helping to scale generative AI capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

People Strategy & Field Support

  • Serve as a strategic partner to Field People teams and business leaders, ensuring localized execution of national People initiatives.

  • Coach, influence, and advise Operators and Staff on People priorities, including talent development, succession planning, and performance management.

  • Lead the deployment of a regional People Plan aligned with national business objectives.

  • Drive a culture of inclusion and engagement within field offices, leveraging compensation programs, potential designations, and performance strategies.

  • Support labor relations and brand protection by executing government relations and labor strategies.

  • Utilize Field Support teams to ensure effective use of People tools and resources.

GenAI Strategy & Enablement

  • Establish GenAI prioritization processes and lead stage-gate reviews for AI initiatives.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define business problems, drive use-case development, and manage pilots and deployments of custom AI solutions or 3rd-party tools.

  • Partner with the Value Realization Office to define and measure business impact from GenAI initiatives.

  • Develop and implement communication strategies that promote awareness and understanding of GenAI capabilities.

  • Build and foster an internal community of GenAI enthusiasts, and lead internal/external events to showcase innovations.

  • Collaborate with Change Management teams to align GenAI initiatives with career path evolution and organizational design.

  • Ensure AI governance is upheld through mandatory trainings and responsible use standards.

  • Create and deliver training materials to help employees adopt GenAI tools effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 4+ years in management consulting or equivalent corporate experience, with a focus on complex project management.

  • Proven ability to drive strategy and influence across matrixed, cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in organizational change management, people development, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Familiarity with data, AI capabilities, and related platforms and technologies.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in consumer-facing sectors, especially foodservice or retail.

  • Strong project leadership and people management skills.
