Job Description

About the Role

McDonald’s Corporate Controller Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Revenue Growth Strategy. This unique role offers a blend of high-level technical accounting responsibilities with strategic business partnership across revenue growth areas such as pricing, promotions, menu strategy, and delivery economics.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in US GAAP and technical accounting, with the ability to apply these principles to support McDonald’s evolving global business initiatives. In addition, the role provides the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders across departments—helping shape and drive the company’s Revenue Growth Management (RGM) strategy, ensuring sustainable and profitable guest count growth while maintaining strong value and affordability for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Accounting Leadership

  • Lead technical accounting analysis and reporting for complex areas; conduct research, document findings, and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

  • Apply McDonald’s accounting policies to new business initiatives, ensuring accurate financial representation and strong fiduciary oversight.

  • Support internal control compliance and drive best-in-class accounting practices globally.

  • Manage special projects, ad-hoc analyses, and technical accounting requests from finance leadership.

  • Develop, mentor, and supervise accounting staff to support growth and ensure operational excellence.

Revenue Growth Management Strategy (RGM)

  • Partner with the RGM Lead to drive execution of McDonald’s global RGM vision across key levers: pricing, promotions, menu architecture, and loyalty.

  • Coordinate global RGM strategy initiatives, including planning phases, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Lead development of cross-lever strategies, models, and long-term plans; evaluate performance gaps and corrective actions.

  • Own the RGM narrative for internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of rationale, goals, and strategy evolution.

  • Conduct quarterly assessments of RGM performance and align with lever leads for updates and action planning.

  • Develop and roll out national RGM and Pricing Strategy training programs for U.S. stakeholders.

  • Evaluate RGM activation in the Delivery channel and lead analysis of Delivery Economics / P&L.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or Master’s in Finance, Economics, or Math preferred.

  • CPA certification is strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years of combined experience in technical accounting, RGM, pricing, promotions, sales, or loyalty strategy.

  • Expertise in US GAAP and technical accounting with a proven track record in research, analysis, and application.

  • Experience in multi-tier pricing environments and RGM implementation.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills; proficiency in data analysis and business trend evaluation.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence through storytelling, strategic insight, and cross-functional collaboration.
