Job Title: Microsoft 365 Engineer / .NET Developer

Location: Remote (Travel to Whitehouse Station, NJ or Philadelphia, PA as needed)
Duration: 3-Month Right to Hire
Compensation Range: $116,200 – $269,100 annually (plus potential sign-on, stock options, benefits, and leave as applicable)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT professional to join our global team, contributing across two core areas:

  1. Enterprise Microsoft 365 Administration & Support

  2. .NET Application Development for Actuarial and Business Analytics

This hybrid role requires expertise in managing Microsoft 365 platforms for a global user base, alongside hands-on development using Microsoft ASP.NET technologies. Ideal candidates thrive in dynamic environments, are strong problem-solvers, and excel at both platform administration and software development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Microsoft 365 Platform Administration & Optimization

  • Administer and optimize M365 services: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power Platform.

  • Configure and manage security and compliance tools including Conditional Access, DLP, RBAC, sensitivity labels, and Microsoft Purview solutions (e.g., eDiscovery, Insider Risk Management).

  • Troubleshoot hybrid environment issues (Azure AD Connect, Exchange Hybrid).

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex issues such as mail flow disruptions, integration failures, and calendar sync conflicts.

  • Integrate Microsoft 365 with enterprise systems and conduct root cause analysis.

  • Create and maintain bilingual (English/Mandarin) documentation for support teams.

  • Monitor service health, usage metrics, and generate executive reports on adoption, risk, and license utilization.

  • Support global teams with configuration alignment and provide Mandarin-language training and troubleshooting.

2. .NET Application Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET Web Sites and Windows Services using Visual Studio.

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Actuarial teams to build tools supporting data analytics and business decisions.

  • Conduct performance tuning, system testing, and support user acceptance testing.

  • Deliver scalable, maintainable code using SDLC best practices.

  • Provide on-call production support during monthly close periods.

  • Enhance existing applications for reliability and efficiency.

  • Utilize DevOps tools and Git for version control and deployment.

  • Apply Agile principles in sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and iterative delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.

  • Proficiency in Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD (hybrid), and PowerShell scripting.

  • 4+ years ASP.NET development experience (Web Sites and Windows Services).

  • Experience with SQL Server or Oracle; DevOps pipelines and Git.

  • Strong troubleshooting, time management, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to interface with end users and global stakeholders.

  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) for technical collaboration.

Preferred Certifications & Skills

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals; Endpoint Administrator Associate

  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900), SC-100, SC-400

  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)

  • Knowledge of global compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001)

  • Actuarial systems or insurance industry experience is a plus.
