Role Overview: Analytics Engineer (Playback Data)

We’re seeking a highly skilled Analytics Engineer to steward Netflix’s playback data, ensuring it powers high-quality viewing experiences across our global platform. You will work with some of Netflix’s largest datasets, from telemetry data on user devices to high-visibility dashboards that inform critical engineering and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a core steward of the playback data model, monitoring and shaping how we understand streaming quality and performance.

  • Lead the development of data pipelines, tools, and products that democratize playback insights across Netflix.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business teams to improve the streaming experience for all Netflix members.

  • Promote best practices for data usage and ensure data quality and consistency at scale.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level SQL skills with experience building and maintaining robust data pipelines.

  • Proficiency in Python; familiarity with TypeScript or Scala is a plus.

  • Experience in software engineering best practices and data tool development at scale.

Role Overview: Senior Web UI Engineer – Game Controller

The Games Controller team at Netflix builds the Game Controller app, tools, and SDK that power interactive gaming experiences on TV and web. As a Senior Web UI Engineer, you will help drive innovation by creating intuitive and engaging user experiences, enabling seamless gameplay for millions of members globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and innovate within the Netflix Game Controller, SDK, and developer tools to enable unique gameplay across devices.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and game developers to craft polished, high-performance web experiences.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable web client code with a focus on performance and accessibility.

  • Contribute to technical roadmaps, experiment rapidly, and modernize codebases using cutting-edge web technologies.

Qualifications

  • Strong full-stack development background with an emphasis on front-end UI engineering.
