Location: Remote (US-based) or Onsite in Los Gatos, Los Angeles, or New York
Compensation Range: $80,000 – $280,000 (salary and stock options, no bonuses)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical Talent Analyst with expertise in machine learning to join our Talent Acquisition Analytics team. In this role, you’ll leverage advanced data science techniques to optimize our hiring processes—from candidate sourcing to retention forecasting—helping Netflix attract and retain the best talent in a competitive global landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Predictive Modeling: Develop and deploy machine learning models to forecast candidate performance, cultural fit, retention, time-to-hire, and cost-per-hire.

  • Sourcing Optimization: Analyze sourcing channels and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and diversity in candidate pipelines.

  • Data Analysis: Use large datasets from ATS, HRIS, and other platforms to detect anomalies, optimize the talent funnel, and identify bottlenecks or biases.

  • Retention Forecasting: Build models to identify early indicators of employee retention or attrition during the hiring process.

  • Workforce Planning: Forecast future hiring needs and skill gaps to inform long-term planning.

  • Reporting: Write and execute SQL queries to extract and analyze data for dashboards, reports, and presentations.

  • Communication: Translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial-Organizational Psychology (quantitative focus), or a related field.

  • Experience: 2–4 years in data science or analytics, with proven machine learning project experience, ideally in HR or talent acquisition.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in Python or R for statistical analysis and model development.

    • Strong understanding of supervised/unsupervised machine learning techniques.

    • Advanced statistical modeling and inference skills.

    • Expert-level SQL for data extraction from relational databases.

  • Communication: Excellent storytelling skills and the ability to present data-driven insights to senior leadership.
