Position Overview

We are currently seeking ambitious and talented post-graduate individuals to join our team as Graduate Trainee Engineers. In this role, you will contribute to impactful projects aimed at advancing Discrete Automation Systems & Software (DASS) and Process Automation & Motion Control (PAMC). This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge, global technology environment and contribute to innovations that shape the future of industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in requirements analysis and stakeholder discussions to understand and refine business and technical needs.

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions using best-in-class coding practices.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality code using C++, adhering to Siemens’ coding guidelines and quality standards.

  • Conduct unit and component testing, ensuring deliverables meet customer expectations and functional specifications.

  • Use tools like UML for comprehensive documentation of software components and workflows.

  • Collaborate in peer code reviews to ensure maintainability, scalability, and robustness of solutions.

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues independently or in collaboration with senior engineers.

  • Continuously update technical knowledge and adapt to emerging technologies and tools in the software development ecosystem.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/BE) in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Control Systems is mandatory.

  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and hands-on experience in C++ development.

  • Knowledge of Windows Desktop Applications, specifically WinForms and MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class Library).

  • Prior exposure to process-oriented software development environments and familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC).

  • Ability to quickly learn and work with new technologies and frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • A proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
