Job Title: Senior/Junior Learning Specialist – Starbucks Roasting Plant (Full-Time)

Location: Seattle, WA, USA
Compensation: $35/hour

The Starbucks Experience begins in our Roasting Plants, where expert roasters, engineers, planners, logistics, and maintenance teams collaborate to ensure product quality and operational excellence. We are currently seeking Plant Learning Specialists to join this dynamic environment and help deliver training programs that support the professional growth and operational success of our partners.

Key Responsibilities

As a Plant Learning Specialist, you will:

  • Coordinate and deliver training programs for plant teams, ensuring materials are current, accurate, and aligned with business goals.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop course content, lesson plans, and instructional materials.

  • Schedule, track, and maintain training initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with leadership directives.

  • Partner cross-functionally with teams such as EHS, QA, Engineering, and Operations to support on-the-job training, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.

  • Monitor and analyze training effectiveness through feedback, testing, and performance metrics, recommending enhancements as needed.

  • Maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and technical resources, using document control systems.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

  • Support safety initiatives and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of business needs and Starbucks' mission and values.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED (equivalent US military service accepted).

  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.

  • Hands-on experience with job training or instructional delivery.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to adapt to variable shifts and extended work hours as needed.

  • Ability to follow instructions and safety standards.

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with document control systems.

  • Familiarity with food safety regulatory standards, such as FDA Preventive Controls for Human Food and GFSI certification schemes (e.g., BRC or SQF).

As a Payroll Analyst Lead, you will manage and optimize payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely payment for over 250,000 partners in the U.S. and Canada. You will lead a team of payroll professionals, oversee process improvements, and serve as a change agent driving innovation in payroll systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead weekly payroll processing and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
