Key Account Sales & Inventory Analyst – Target & Walmart Accounts

Compensation: Competitive salary (based on experience) + full benefits package

Your Mission

As a Key Account Sales & Inventory Analyst, you will serve as a critical operational partner for two of North America’s largest retail accounts — Target and Walmart. You will manage end-to-end inventory and sales support, ensuring flawless execution across systems, item setup, compliance, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination. Your work directly drives product availability, sales growth, and retail success in high-volume, performance-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Coordination & Retail Support

  • Deliver exceptional daily support to Target and Walmart, ensuring full compliance with each retailer’s operational standards, systems, and timelines.

  • Manage supplier portals including Retail Link (Walmart), Partners Online (Target), PCN, IMN, and Spark for item creation, quote submissions, content uploads, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers to build line reviews, pitch decks, and seasonal presentations tailored to retailer strategies.

  • Track and verify pricing, lead times, promotions, and pack formats within both internal systems and retailer portals.

  • Lead cross-functional coordination across Design, Costing, Demand Planning, Logistics, Accounting, and Customer Service for seamless execution.

Inventory Analysis & Forecasting

  • Develop strategic inventory forecasts to ensure optimal product availability and minimize out-of-stocks.

  • Analyze sales performance, forecast accuracy, and inventory levels; identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.

  • Negotiate and maintain effective communication with key vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and execution.

  • Utilize analytical tools, ERP systems, and reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to monitor KPIs and drive data-informed decisions.

Project & Compliance Management

  • Lead or support commercial initiatives such as promotional tracking, vendor scorecard improvements, and system readiness.

  • Stay current with operational updates and compliance standards from Target and Walmart; implement updates accurately and on time.

  • Manage project timelines for new item setup, sample delivery, and seasonal resets.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Experience

  • 5–10 years in sales coordination, inventory analysis, or operational support, ideally within FMCG, homewares, or Big Box retail.

  • Direct experience managing Target and/or Walmart accounts is essential.

  • Hands-on experience with Retail Link, Partners Online, PCN, IMN, Spark, and ERP systems.

  • Experience working with wholesale, consumer products, or licensed/private label assortments.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong ownership mentality — think and act like a business operator, not an admin.

  • Highly analytical with advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills; Power BI knowledge is a plus.

  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills; confident leading cross-functional meetings.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive — able to drive results independently.

  • Comfortable working with AI-assisted tools for data analysis, CRM enrichment, and presentations.

  • Leadership qualities with strong decision-making skills and a solutions-focused mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary aligned with experience and performance.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • 401(k) plan with 5% employer matching.

  • Paid vacation, holidays, and family leave.

  • Tuition-free education through “Dream to Be” program.
