About the Role

Join Target’s Cyber Security team as a Principal Security Engineer / GCP Cloud Security Architect, where you'll collaborate with technical and leadership teams across Target Tech. You'll play a critical role in identifying security risks, designing secure architectures, and guiding system development with a strong emphasis on cloud security, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate security requirements into IT system designs.

  • Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, models, and frameworks.

  • Ensure architecture compliance with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Assess security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and recommend controls.

  • Design and implement security solutions (e.g., firewalls, encryption, access control).

  • Guide secure coding practices and collaborate with dev/ops teams.

  • Conduct architecture reviews, design reference architectures, and create implementation guides.

  • Perform advanced security analysis of cloud systems and develop security requirements.

  • Communicate risk effectively and influence prioritization with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ years in security engineering and architecture with expertise in:

    • Cloud Security, Networking Security, IAM, Automation, SIEM.

    • Languages: Java, Python, Go, Scala.

    • Security technologies: firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, Kubernetes.

    • Security frameworks: NIST, ISO/IEC 27001.

  • Solid understanding of AI/ML and tools like Vertex AI.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Work Arrangement

This role may be remote or hybrid, depending on business needs. Remote team members may travel to HQ up to 4 times/year. Work must be performed within the country of the primary work location.

Roundel is Target’s media business – an advertising platform focused on first-party data, brand-safe environments, and measurable outcomes. As Lead Account Manager, you will shape marketing strategies for top clients in the Essentials and Beauty categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary client contact for annual and campaign-level planning.

  • Develop integrated media plans aligned to client priorities and insights.

  • Create campaign proposals including audience strategies, media mix, and performance analysis.

  • Present strategic recommendations and lead client meetings.
