Your success is our success.<br><br><strong>Description<br><br></strong><strong>JOB SUMMARY:<br><br></strong>To complete bench upholstery, sewing machine and upholstery cutting operations using a wide variety of upholstery materials and tools.<br><br><strong>Job Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Works under general supervision to fabricate, cover, and assemble flat and curved panels. Sew simple covers and curtains using design/engineering drawings and aircrafts specifications.</li><li>Work with fabric, vinyl, and leather hides, composites, and other materials using specified adhesives, sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools, and various power tools.</li><li>Fit panels and windows, cabin head liners, upper sidewalls, lower side panels, hatch panels, windows, cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads and coverings.</li><li>Uses a variety of hand and power tools/equipment and basic measuring instruments.</li><li>Ability to read and write to interpret basic drawings. Ability to work from detailed instructions and minor decision making.</li><li>Performs other related duties.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>EDUCATION:<br><br></strong>Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification and Textron Aviation's blueprint reading class preferred.<br><br><strong>Experience<br><br></strong>0-6 months experience in upholstery, bench upholstery, and/or mechanical experience.<br><br><strong>Working Conditions<br><br></strong>Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes, and liquids.
