Key Responsibilities

Customs Brokerage (UPS)

  • Process and clear incoming shipments through customs efficiently and in compliance with all applicable regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and clearance activities.

  • Communicate with customs officials, customers, and internal departments to resolve issues and prevent delays.

  • Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing clearance-related inquiries and concerns.

  • Collaborate across departments to ensure the seamless flow of goods through transportation and delivery channels.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of streamlined solutions.

Local Sales (TForce Freight)

  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline focused on acquiring new business and expanding existing accounts within a designated territory.

  • Analyze sales data and transportation trends to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

  • Prepare and present compelling sales proposals, leveraging TFI’s service advantages over competitors.

  • Manage client relationships, advising on billing, resolving inquiries, and providing training on web-based shipping tools.

  • Compile weekly sales reports summarizing achievements, challenges, and market intelligence.

  • Build strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers and influence long-term customer partnerships.

  • Promote bundled freight services and share leads to foster cross-functional sales growth.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Currently located in or willing to relocate to the position’s geographic location.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of customs regulations and clearance procedures (for Brokerage roles).

  • Sales experience with proven ability to negotiate and close deals (for Sales roles).

  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to forecast customer needs.

  • Familiarity with logistics, freight services, and transportation technologies.

  • Proficient in using web-based tools for shipping, tracking, and customer management.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
