Position: Onsite System Manager (Washington, D.C.)

Location: Must reside in or near Washington, D.C.
Type: Full-time, Onsite, 24/7 support rotation
Travel: Up to 10%

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, optimize, and maintain Motorola Land Mobile Radio systems (MOTOTRBO, P25, legacy analog systems)

  • Serve as the primary support contact for the USPS Motorola Solutions Radio System

  • Provision communication infrastructure; configure, test, and document systems

  • Manage and optimize RF and broadband networks, including LAN/WAN components

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows/Linux servers, routers, switches, and other network infrastructure

  • Conduct preventative maintenance, trend analysis, and ensure FCC/USPS compliance

  • Maintain Field Replaceable Unit inventory and generate weekly activity reports

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience with Motorola systems (e.g., SmartZone, SmartNet, ASTRO)

  • Strong knowledge of RF infrastructure, networking (LAN/WAN), and server administration

  • Experience with Motorola Customer Programming Software and radio subscriber programming

  • Ability to use test equipment: Communication Analyzers, Ethernet Link Testers, T1 Test Sets

  • Network certifications preferred: COMPTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA, NRS1

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently under pressure and deliver high-quality support

  • U.S. citizenship required with ability to obtain security clearance (Public Trust/DHS)
