Job Title: Biopharmaceutical Account Manager (Remote)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Biopharmaceutical Account Manager to lead and expand strategic partnerships with global pharmaceutical manufacturers. This role plays a critical part in positioning Walgreens as the pharmacy of choice in both retail and specialty markets, with a strong emphasis on limited distribution drug (LDD) access, Rx adherence strategies, and innovative service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with global pharmaceutical manufacturers, with a focus on limited distribution drugs (LDD) and specialty pharmacy access.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to develop and implement acquisition and adherence strategies for retail prescription products.

  • Lead joint initiatives in direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing, adherence programs, data services, market insights, and unique purchasing strategies.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between biopharma partners and internal teams (Legal, Marketing, Clinical, Digital, etc.).

  • Negotiate service program contracts with manufacturers while aligning with internal Purchasing and Supply Chain teams.

  • Leverage market intelligence to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities early.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years in pharmaceutical account management or trade relations OR High School Diploma/GED with 9+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strategic experience in pharmacy marketing, PBM, managed care, or pharmaceutical sales.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • At least 5 years contributing to financial decisions and leading cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or MBA.

  • Previous experience in both retail and specialty pharmacy business models.

  • Remote position with flexible work arrangements.
