Job Title: Data Entry Specialist – Remote (Full-Time)

We’re hiring Data Entry Specialists to work remotely, with no prior experience required. This role is critical in ensuring accurate prescription processing, effective communication with patients and healthcare providers, and supporting pharmacy operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter new patient registration and prescription data into Walgreens systems using company guidelines and HIPAA protocols.

  • Interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes) and troubleshoot missing or unclear prescription information.

  • Resolve third-party insurance rejects by verifying data, correcting errors, and resubmitting claims as necessary.

  • Communicate with patients, prescribers, and insurers via inbound/outbound calls, emails, and chat to resolve queries and process refills.

  • Assist pharmacists by managing data entry exceptions and escalating complex issues to senior staff.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain accurate records.

  • Must obtain an active Pharmacy Technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain it thereafter.

Qualifications – Basic

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Proficient in basic computer tasks (e.g., opening programs, navigating websites, saving and printing documents).

  • Basic internet skills (using browsers, search engines, online forms).

  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM; touch typing preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or call center environment.

  • 18+ months of pharmacy tech experience with active certification or registration.

  • Experience in customer service, especially in healthcare settings.

  • Typing speed of 35+ WPM.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Advanced Opportunities: Hub Operations Manager (Senior Role)

For experienced candidates, we also offer advancement opportunities in Hub Operations Management, responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring service excellence, and leading cross-functional teams. This role supports therapy access and patient services while managing budgets and driving strategic process improvements.

Key Responsibilities (Advanced Role)

  • Manage day-to-day hub services and staff aligned with service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Develop operational policies, performance KPIs, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

  • Lead quarterly client reviews and contribute to program design and proposals.

  • Monitor industry trends for innovation and improvement opportunities.

  • Lead, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for operations staff.

Qualifications (Advanced Role)

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience in pharmacy or healthcare operations, OR high school diploma with 9+ years’ experience.

  • At least 7 years in healthcare operations, including 3+ years of team leadership.

  • Budget and financial decision-making experience.

  • Strong customer management, communication, and project management skills.

  • RPh license (preferred for senior roles).

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Salary Range (Advanced Role): $136,000–$231,300 (Based on experience, location, and seniority)
