Job Title: Pharmacist – Centralized Services (Onsite/Remote – Miramar, FL)

Job Summary:

The Centralized Services Pharmacist plays a key role in executing healthcare strategies, driving patient health outcomes, and optimizing pharmacy performance through direct patient care programs and prescription processing. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, operational leadership, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience. While primarily based onsite in Miramar, FL, remote work is available depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute direct patient care programs, including Medication Therapy Management (MTM), immunizations, and adherence initiatives for payers and pharmaceutical partners.

  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, pharmacy laws, and company policies; contribute to quality improvement through analysis and process redesign.

  • Enhance pharmacy financial performance through effective implementation of patient-focused pharmacy programs that optimize reimbursements and improve outcomes.

  • Support and develop pharmacy staff, provide training, and foster teamwork to promote a positive and productive work environment.

  • Conduct clinical reviews to ensure appropriate, accurate medication use, providing personalized patient consultations and recommendations.

  • Serve as a liaison between Walgreens, patients, healthcare providers, and insurers, addressing inquiries and delivering high-level clinical support.

  • Support the execution of Walgreens’ Customer Retention Program and report on patient feedback regarding service quality.

  • Maintain active pharmacist licensure and up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy practices and regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BSPharm or PharmD)

  • Active Pharmacist license in applicable state

  • Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience

  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs

  • Experience handling confidential information and using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensure in multiple states (or willingness to obtain additional licenses)

  • Familiarity with insurance plans and pharmacy systems (Intercom, Promise, Plus)

  • Prior experience in a centralized services or remote pharmacy setting

Additional Role: Patient Care Advocate – Remote (Texas Only)

Job Summary:
In this fully remote role, the Patient Care Advocate provides support to new and existing patients regarding prescriptions, clinical services, and billing inquiries. As the first point of contact, you will deliver high-quality service, address escalations, and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve escalated patient issues and connect them with pharmacists for clinical support.

  • Monitor workflow, call queues, and agent performance; assist with training and quality audits.

  • Collaborate with clinical, insurance, and support teams to ensure patient satisfaction.

  • Analyze reports, track workflow health, and support improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold Walgreens’ service standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience

  • Strong communication and multitasking skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with multiple systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Call center or healthcare customer service experience
