Full job description:

A B2B industrial packaging company is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate / Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, which include handling materials, picking orders, and managing shipping and receiving processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage picking, pulling, stock locations, product movement, and maintain accurate counts and product matching.
  • Load, unload, and move pallets on and off trucks or shelves using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Assist in inventory counts and investigate discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Weigh materials and record weights on tags as part of the standard process.
  • Prepare shipments through carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or freight services.
  • Perform receiving functions following established processes and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Schedule all inbound deliveries and ensure that the purchase order number is included on all paperwork.
  • Perform manual and clerical tasks related to the shipping and receiving.
  • Scheduling loads and processing shipping paperwork.
  • Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet operational deadlines.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Physical Skills

  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, sit, and walk

Education / Certification Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • General math skills.
  • Forklift Certification (Preferred)

Schedule

  • 8-hour shift
  • 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm M-F
  • Occasional overtime but seldom

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
