Tech Talent Sourcer

Other Jobs To Apply

We’re looking for a hunter. Someone who loves the chase of finding that Staff Backend Engineer who lives in Figma comments or the MLE quietly shipping magic on Hugging Face. If you can translate founder chaos into sourcing strategy — and you know the difference between React, React Native, and “React to bad JDs” — keep reading.

We work with early-stage tech startups (typically under 100 people) who are building fast and hiring for some of the hardest-to-fill engineering roles out there: AI, ML, data, and product infrastructure. You’ll play a core role in building talent pipelines that move fast and feel human.

What You’ll Do

  • Source senior technical talent across AI, ML, data, backend, and product engineering — globally.
  • Go beyond LinkedIn: dig into GitHub, Reddit, Slack/Discord communities, Substack comments, personal sites, and niche meetups.
  • Partner closely with Talent Advisors and founders to understand role priorities, stack preferences, and what “great” really means for each team.
  • Craft personalized outreach that actually gets replies — human, warm, and informed.
  • Track sourcing funnel data and experiment with new approaches to improve conversion rates.
  • Keep our candidate database fresh, tagged, and usable for future searches.
  • Represent our tone and mission: thoughtful, data-driven, and relationship-first.

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years of experience sourcing senior engineering talent (startup or agency side).
  • Deep technical literacy — you can decode a JD, assess GitHub repos, and ask intelligent follow-ups about stack choices.
  • Curiosity about emerging tech — AI/ML, data platforms, developer tools.
  • Creative sourcing instincts — you’re first to try new channels or tactics and know how to find signal in the noise.
  • High EQ and natural storytelling ability — your messages read like a person, not a template.
  • Operational excellence — you use Airtable, Gem, or Ashby like second nature and you’re fluent in sourcing metrics.

Bonus Points

  • Experience recruiting for early-stage startups or founder-led teams.
  • A background in engineering, product, or data analytics.
  • Knowledge of compensation benchmarking or market mapping.
  • You’ve built or scaled sourcing systems before (e.g., outreach automation, talent intelligence dashboards).

What Success Looks Like in 30 Days

  • You’ve sourced 50+ senior technical candidates who move to interview stage within your first month.
  • You’ve built a repeatable sourcing playbook for 2–3 high-priority technical roles.
  • Founders and principal recruiters trust your instincts — you’ve become their go-to for what the market is saying.
  • You’re experimenting with new sourcing channels and sharing insights that make the whole team better.

This role is fully remote, fast-paced, and perfect for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves autonomy, and gets a thrill out of finding the person no one else could.
