About the Organization

The SMBIC Data and Regulatory Operations Group is a global team operating in over 20 countries, supporting key business lines such as Markets, Services, and Wealth Management. We enable client lifecycle transactions by managing data demands and delivering non-financial reporting to regulators.

The Operations Optimization & Enablement Team within this group focuses on executing strategic change initiatives, including:

  • Implementing Gen AI solutions in partnership with Technology
  • Strategic planning, including Target Operating Model (TOM) design and implementation
  • Driving transformative change projects across the organization


Role Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced contractor to provide essential project management office support for key initiatives. The role ensures robust governance, tracking, and reporting for projects, requiring understanding and experience with Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting.



Responsibilities

  • Lead innovation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, including automation technologies like AI for repetitive tasks.
  • Provide comprehensive PMO support across Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting implementations, ensuring successful and compliant delivery.
  • Identify and drive strategic opportunities within the NFRR framework to optimize processes and enhance regulatory compliance.
  • Implement advanced AI programs in collaboration with Technology teams to strengthen control mechanisms and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels among diverse project stakeholders, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
  • Prepare detailed project timelines, resource plans, and budget tracking mechanisms to keep projects on schedule and within financial parameters.
  • Prepare and update governance decks and project reports for senior stakeholders, ensuring transparent oversight.
  • Maintain and track all project documentation to support audit readiness and informed decision-making.
  • Support and guide impactful projects within the SMBIC Data and Regulatory Operations Group, applying PMO best practices.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a PMO role within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in project governance, reporting, risk management, and issue tracking.
  • Ability to manage and formalize project documentation, including minutes, action logs, and project plans.
  • Experience in creating and updating governance decks and management reports.
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effective communication with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of data management principles and experience with issue tracking systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting or other regulatory reporting regimes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
  • Experience leading AI implementation programs.
